Top Apps Every Beauty Professional Should Have

Updated: Sep 2, 2020

Hey gorgeous! My name is Kia. Welcome to my blog! I'm a natural hair enthusiast turned master cosmetologist. On my site, you can expect business tips, hair tips, product reviews and more! Check back periodically or follow me on IG or Youtube to see what I'm up to.

One of my goals for 2020 is to help other stylists and beauty professionals grow and maintain their clientele. I thought it would be great to start with sharing apps that help me to run my business efficiently. I hope you find this useful for your business as well.

1. A Booking System

I use a service called Gloss Genius. This app is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G-! It keeps track of all my client's contact information, it tracks my income, it gives me client analytics, and sends clients appointment reminders. Listen! I can't rave enough about this app. It keeps me organized and cut down on my client's cancellations. Sign Up Here

2. A Photo Editor

The app I use to edit my client photos is called AirBrush. If you are interested in a tutorial on this app sign up for my email list below and I'll be sure to create a video or live training for that. I highly recommend retouching your client photos because it helps to create a more appealing visual for potential clients. Check out the photo below with retouches and without. Big difference!

3. Photo Grids

The app I use to create my photo grids or collages is called InShot. This app can also be used to edit videos and edit photos if you aren't a fan of Airbrush. I highly recommend using photo collages because it allows potential clients to see your client's transformation. Please see the example below:

4. Instagram Scheduler

The app I use to schedule my social media is called Planoly. I love this app because it allows me to automate my presence on social media without having to disrupt the flow of my day. I typically don't have time to stop everything I'm doing between clients and my personal life to post on social media in the middle of the day. This way I can stay present and relevant on social media and attract new potential clients.

5. Canva

Canva is the free graphic designer you didn't know you needed. Canva is great for making custom flyers, social media posts, and even flyers to promote your business. Canva has thousands of templates that you can't customize to fit your brand.

I hope you found this information helpful. For more FREE tips to use in your business sign up for my email list below.
