Hey gorgeous! My name is Kia. Welcome to my blog! I'm a natural hair enthusiast turned master cosmetologist. On my site, you can expect business tips, hair tips, product reviews, and more! Check back periodically or follow me on IG or Youtube to see what I'm up to.
I recently had a come to Jesus moment with myself. I was reflecting on my garden which hasn't been a successful project and I thought to myself I can't give up even though it's hard and I wasn't successful after my first try. That led to me reflecting on my entrepreneurial journey and assessing where I went wrong in my journey of entrepreneurship. I created a quick list of steps you'll need for anyone wanting to avoid my mistakes and become a successful entrepreneur.
1. Mindset
In entrepreneurship, you have to have a can-do attitude. If you make up in your mind you can do something then you will.
2. Patience
Listen Linda!!! The serenity prayer is sometimes my saving grace because patience can be hard to come by.
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and wisdom to know the difference.
3. Consistency
To be consistent is acting or doing something in the same way over time. An example of consistency is creating daily habits. Some daily habits can be creating a morning to-do list, having a daily routine, or organizing your workspace before starting your workday.
4. Persistence
Persistence is continuing in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition. One of my favorite movies is "Hitched" I love the persistence Will Smith's character showed when persuing "Sara" Eva Mendes' character at the beginning of the movie. This is a great example of how you should be with your business... You are Will Smith and your business is Eva Mendes.
Hitch : Do you know the definition of perseverance, Miss Melas?
Sara : An excuse to be obnoxious?
Hitch : Continuing a course of action without regard to discouragement, opposition or previous failure, over.
5. Self Discipline
Self-discipline is a pattern of behavior where you choose to do what you know you should do rather than what you want to do.
I’ll leave you with this, the Bible says:
“In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.”
2 Peter 1:5-7 NLT
